How to Calculate Hourly Capacity of an Operator or Helper?

To calculate the capacity of an operator or helper first of all we should take the Avg. cycle time (sec) by using stop watch and convert into Minute value.

                                            60

Hourly Capacity (Pcs) = ------------------- - Allowance%

                                    Cycle Time (min)

Example-1:

If a worker takes 1 min to complete a process then how many pieces he/she can complete in an hour.

Answer:

Hourly Capacity = (60/1) – (60/1) x 15%

                         = 60 – 9

                          = 51 pcs

Example-2:

If a worker takes 30 sec complete a process then how many pieces he/she can complete in an hour.

Answer:

Here, Cycle time (min) = (30/60) = 0.50 min

Hourly Capacity = (60/0.50) – (60/0.50) x 15%

                         = 120 – 18

                          = 102 pcs
