Calculate the Consumption & Price of a Carton

Calculate the Consumption & Price of a Carton

Dear All,

From this post you will learn how to calculate the price of a carton. For these you need the following 04 (four) information at first, as listed below:

i. Carton length in cm of your expected carton.

ii. Carton width in cm of your expected carton.

iii. Carton height in cm of your expected carton.

iv. Rate of per square meter liner or Per CBM in US$.

Note: In present market the liner rate is +/- $0.75 to $0.83 which may change any time. Also it is depend on the liner quality.

Otherwise you may follow the below rules.

Carton cost calculation on SQM:

Say,
       The length of carton is = 60 cm
       The width of carton is = 40 cm
       The height of carton is = 30 cm
       Price for 7 ply liner rate = $0.80/ Sqm (square meter)

      (Length + width + allowance) X (Width + Height + Allowance) X 2

Formula = ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ X SQM Rate
                                                    100 x 100

          (60 + 40 + 6) X (40 + 30 + 4) X 2

    = --------------------------------------------------- X $0.80
                              10000

   = {(7844 X 2) / 10000} X $0.80
   = (15688 / 10000) X $0.80
   = 1.5688 X $0.80
   = $1.25504 / pc (Per carton rate)

Carton cost calculation on CBM:

Say,
       The length of carton is = 60”
       The width of carton is = 40”
       The height of carton is = 20”
       Price for 7 ply CBM Rate = $0.80/ CBM (Cubic Meter)

           Length (inch) x Width (inch) x Height (inch)

Formula = --------------------------------------------------------- X CBM Rate
                                39.37 x 39.37 x 39.37

                  60 x40 x20

            = ------------------ X $0.80
                   61023.38

   = (48000/ 61023.38) X $0.80
   = $0.63 / pc (Per carton rate)
